Rose City Drive-In
Newark, New York
Rose City Drive-In is one of New York's great revival stories. The drive-in originally operated in Newark, Wayne County before closing — and when it reopened in 2024, it ended nearly four decades of local moviegoers driving elsewhere for the drive-in experience. Newark is known as the "Rose City" for its long history in rose cultivation and horticulture, and the drive-in carries that local identity into its name. The theater features modern digital projection and audio delivered directly to car radios through FM broadcast. Adult tickets are $10 and children 5–12 are $8. Movies are shown rain or shine with no rain checks, though management reserves the right to cancel in extreme weather. Tickets are available online in advance, with gate sales continuing until sellout. The Rose City Drive-In has been enthusiastically embraced by the Wayne County community and Finger Lakes region visitors as a new anchor for summer entertainment.
