About Van Buren Drive-In & Activities Center
Van Buren Drive-In & Activities Center offers a distinctive drive-in experience in the Lake Erie region of Chautauqua County, situated on Van Buren Road in the town of Pomfret near Dunkirk. The theater's self-description as a "Drive-In & Activities Center" reflects its broader family entertainment offering beyond just the movies. Audio is delivered on 99.7 FM. Adults pay $10 and children $8, with kids 3 and under free. The drive-in's location in western Chautauqua County puts it within reach of Dunkirk, Fredonia, and the greater Lake Erie shoreline communities, as well as cross-border visitors from Erie, Pennsylvania. Van Buren provides one of the region's few remaining drive-in options and has become an important community entertainment anchor for a part of New York that sees relatively few such venues.
