Knox Drive-In

The Knox Drive-In opened in 2023 as a city-owned public amenity, built on a vacant lot in Barbourville in southeastern Kentucky. The project was initiated after public polling showed drive-in movies were the most requested entertainment option in the community. With a 70-by-30-foot screen among the largest in the state, it pays homage to the original Knox Drive-In that operated at the same site from 1954 to 1981 and hosts special events including gospel concerts and themed movie nights.
