Comet Drive-In Theatre
Connellsville, Pennsylvania
The Comet Drive-In Theatre has been lighting up the Fayette County sky since 1950, making it one of the older surviving drive-ins in western Pennsylvania. Located near Connellsville along Route 119, the two-screen theater shows first-run double features with digital projection and FM stereo sound through the spring and summer months. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 4–11, and free for children 3 and under, with cash accepted only. A flea market operates alongside the theater on weekends, adding to the festive, community atmosphere. The Comet is a classic small-town drive-in in the truest sense — no frills, solid movies, and an outdoor experience that hasn't changed much in 70 years.
